Fire Department

Indoor special or pyrotechnical effects do require a permit from the Colorado Springs Fire Department. The permit category is a Temporary HP 22 for pyrotechnics, fireworks, special effect/theatrical performances. A submittal package needs to include any drawings, product information, effect descriptions, etc. necessary to clearly indicate the overall concept of the special effects.

The Fire Department may require stand-by fire crews depending upon the scope and size of the special effects. Please contact the Colorado Springs Fire Department directly for details and assistance.
